NUTAN BALA

Ms. Nutan Bala is a renowned artist from Madhubani, Bihar, recognized for her numerous accolades related to Madhubani Painting. She has been awarded by Upendra Maharathi Shilp Anusandhan Sansthan, Patna with the State Award from 2017-18 to 2019-2020.

Artwork titled "Covid" was selected for the Mithila Painting Exhibition organized by the Syracuse University Art Museum, New York.

She was the only participant in Madhubani painting at the "Regional Tribal Art Conclave" organized by Lalit Kala Academy (Government of India), Bhubaneswar Regional Centre (14th February 2019 to 19th February 2019).

She also participated in the Mithila Painting Exhibition organized by the "Art, Culture and Youth Department" (Museum Directorate) (24th-31st January 2018, Darbhanga).

In addition, she participated in exhibitions organized by Upendra Maharathi Shilp Anusandhan Sansthan and Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh, Patna.

Artistic expertise:

1.Mithila Painting on the following products : Canvas, Handmade paper. Jute products, Ceramic, Bamboo products, clothing material, show pieces, Wooden products.

2.Providing training to women and girls through the "Lok Kalakriti" organization since 2009.

3.Successful participant in Bihar Lalit Kala, Patna; Avadh Art Festival, Lucknow; B M Fine Arts and Culture - Government of West Bengal; and Aradhya Chitrakala National Level Art Exhibition.

4.Received a certificate of appreciation from the Divisional Railway Manager (East Central Railway) for collective contributions to Mithila painting (2nd October - 14th October, 2017).
