✨Paintz Story🎨💛

This Madhubani/Mithila painting is a creation of a fine artist Mr. Rajesh Kumar Mukhiya (family member of Padma Shri Ms. Dulari Devi) wherein he has tried to capture a pond full of fishes and flowers such as lotus in the Mithila region. This region has been blessed with many small ponds where village people do farming of fish, fox nut (Makhana) and betel (Paan) for their livelihood. A famous saying in Mithila goes with this painting, "Water is life (Jal he jeevan hai)".

Water, water, everywhere,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.
(Poet: Samuel Taylor Coleridge)
