A Meaningful Gift for Art and Culture Lovers

An original Madhubani painting can be a thoughtful gift for someone interested in Indian traditions, Mithila culture, traditional Indian art or original paintings.

It can be considered for housewarmings, weddings, anniversaries, festivals and other meaningful occasions.
Paintz Story

This mesmerizing Madhubani painting, created by the renowned artist Mr. Pintu, uses a vivid color scheme to depict a traditional marriage ritual from the Mithila region called "Paricchavan" (or "Parikshan").
Marriage in the Mithila region, primarily located in northern Bihar and eastern Nepal, is deeply rooted in tradition and culture, reflecting the area's rich heritage. Mithila, historically known for its scholarship and culture, has unique matrimonial customs that distinguish it from other regions.
Paricchavan (or Parikshan) is a ritual performed by the women of the bride's family. Basically in this ritual, female relatives, usually the bride's mother or elder women examine the groom, who comes to the bride's place for marriage, for overall suitability. It involves a series of traditional gestures and offerings that symbolize blessings, protection, and the warding off of evil spirits.
