Paintz Story

Marriage in the Mithila region is steeped in tradition and linked to its rich heritage and the Ramayana. Ms. Seema Nishant captures these customs in her Madhubani paintings. One poignant ritual is the Vidai, marking the bride’s departure from her parental home to start her new life. On the day after the wedding, she receives blessings from her family, with tears and heartfelt farewells emphasizing the deep bonds and bittersweet nature of her transition. This ritual highlights the cultural importance of family and their support as the bride begins her new journey.
Art for All. Stories That Matter.

We believe art becomes more meaningful when it creates an impact beyond the artwork itself. PaintzStories brings together emerging, independent, underrated and underrepresented artists, giving their creativity a platform and helping their stories reach wider audiences. Every purchase you make helps us support more artists, celebrate diverse talent and make the world of art a little more inclusive.
